Good tips. My dog is one of those dogs that is obsessed with a tennis ball. He is very well trained on stay and basic commands but he has a hard time making eye contact and ignoring a ball. So I've been practicing basic obedience with him indoors in the living room with a ball on the ground. And then I'll have him sit and stay and I'll throw the ball past him. Sometimes he breaks from stay, but we are slowly working on this. It's easier for him to concentrate inside.
