it’s not ok to hold such a small puppy in the way that the man is
What is wrong with the way the puppy is being held? Is there a certain way to hold them? I don’t have a puppy, but I do want one.
Just curious.
where is mom it`s a destrees call
That is a cute puppy!
what breed is this cute puppy?
Lol, Cute real cute made me smile.Curious to know what breed of dog is it.
It’s a golden retriever
This is a 2 1/2week old golden retriever puppy. I saw the video a while ago on youtube. Also I am currently in school for Vet Medicine and this is not an “incorrect” way to hold a puppy. As long as the puppies weight is fully supported it is ok. Also if you are concerned with the upright position of the puppy this is also ok, as Mum would carry the puppies by the scruff, with them in the exactly same position.
That’s adorable! It almost sounds like it’s trying to match the man’s pitch. My dog used to do that with me whenever I’d howl at him. He’d try to match the pitch of whoever was howling.
As for how the puppy’s being held. At least it’s not momma-dog holding it. She’d pick it up by either the scruff or else it’s head!
How precious! The golden retriever’s response while watching and listening to it on the Internet is just as moving.
Did you notice that he is matching pitch??? A Musical dog!! Thanks for sharing this

Ah really sweet, very clever too! That littlun is gonna be a little star when he/she gets big i recon!
Such a cute dog! How I wish I have one like this!
Why do people want to humanize dogs? I do not believe this puppy is whistling, he is howling. The man’s whistle is probably a disturbing sound to young, tender ears of the puppy. (Dogs hear differently than people) The puppy is more likely feeling scared or threatened. It would be interesting to see what kind of response was puppy’s mother had to her offspring’s howling. Most likely she was disturbed by the puppy’s howling.
come on! the puppy is very very small and has problems with holding its head upright so mum would hold it by its skin on the neck and the head would then be still
and I’m not sure if the puppy’s but is secured, I’d rather say that the men holds the puppy with only one hand
that puppy does not look at all distressed to me ! Very Cute !!
Omigosh! I just want to say SHUT UP to all the people complaining about this. You are such mood blowers. As a kid I’m guessing you were the one that complained about how bad sugar was for your teeth when everyone ate lollipops.
A vet in training just said the puppy is being held fine. And your spectulation that howling is a distress sign has not been proven.
So please either enjoy or MOVE ON. STOP being NEGATIVE!!!
When my brother and I were kids, we lived by the railroad tracks. Our neighbors dog, a full grown boxer would howl at the train whistle(these were locmotives not diesels). We learned to howl just like him and we would have him howling long after the train was gone. The neighbors loved us(KNOT!).
great issues altogether, you simply received a new reader.
What may you suggest in regards to your post that you simply made a few days in the past?
Any positive?
