Did you know that most of what WE call behavior problems in dogs is incorrect.

Most of the behaviors that we don’t like are really just location problems.

When your dog pees on the carpet we call it a behavior problem. When your dog digs in your yard we call it a behavior problem. When your dog jumps we call it a behavior problem.

If we show the dog the right place to do the behavior it is no longer a behavior problem.

What if your dog pees outside, what if your dog starts digging on the beach, what if your dog jumps during an agility trial.

No longer problems.

How To Teach Your Dog To Pee And Poop On Command

Training your dog to pee and poop on command is a must here in New England. You see, winters get real cold and it tends to rain a lot in the spring. It is no fun standing there freezing or standing in the middle of a down pour waiting for your best friend to do his business.

Much better to run outside, give the command “Get busy” and have it all wrapped up in a few seconds. This is also very easy to teach your dog and this video will show you how.

A Dog Peeing on Your Carpet is NOT a Behavior Problem

One of the funniest moments in my life, a time that I literally fell on the ground laughing my head off, happened one hot summer day on a dairy farm in Maine when I was about ten years old.

My mom is from Maine and we were waaaay up north by the Canadian border visiting some of our cousins.

My brother and I were walking around the farm when he felt the urge.

He asked me where he could pee and I said anywhere you want.

I don’t think there was another house or person for miles around. My brother, not being familiar with farms, did not know that the little wire that kept all the cows in the pasture was electrified.
