I remember standing in line waiting with my dog Sammi. As I was standing there, I was actually nervous about what was going to happen.
I was about to go through the AKC Canine Good Citizen test.
I knew Sam was ready, but I had a deep fear of any kind of test. I was terrible in school and barely made it out with a diploma.
The main reason was I tended to freeze up when faced with any kind of test and the old feelings were racing back as I stood there with Sam.
Anyway, that was a long time ago and Sammi passed the test with flying colors and became a Good Citizen.
One of the best programs the American Kennel Club ever promoted is the Canine Good Citizen.
It is a series of tests that your dog has to pass in order to become a good citizen.
