As a kid, Bruce Lee was one of my biggest heroes, still is.
There was an old movie theater in Hartford, CT that my friends and I
would go to to watch his movies.
I couldn’t get enough of them.
Anyway, Bruce was a very sharp guy.
Martial artist, actor and philosopher.
You can apply a lot of what he says to dog training. For instance:
“A good teacher can never be fixed in a routine… each moment requires a sensitive mind that is constantly changing and constantly adapting.”
Bruce Lee
This is important to remember as you are training your dog. You are the teacher, you need to be constantly adapting to each situation.
Your dog will probably have no problems doing obedience commands in your house with nothing going on.
Go outside with people walking around, squirrels and birds, and your dog will respond differently.
You need to change the training and adapt to the situation.
Which I cover in great detail in the new article I just added to The Dog Training Inner Circle.
This is a very valuable tip and you can check it out here:
Go forth and train your dog grasshopper.
Best,
