Wow, instead of driving down to your local ATM all you need to do is follow your dog around the yard. Watch the video…

It’s a funny video but stealing is a serious behavior problem for a lot of dog owners.

Please leave your comments and questions so I can help others who have this problem with their dogs.

Although I haven’t had this specific problem, my dog does seem to have a taste for paper. Actually, I’m pretty sure that if presented with the option of a raw hide bone or a piece of paper… she would choose the paper.

We keep most of this up where she can’t get it, but she still likes to counter surf and we haven’t been able to find a good way to get her to stop. Any suggestions for this?

I have a similar problem. My Miniature Pinschers grabbed my apple out of my purse one day while I was bringing in groceries. At the time I didn’t think it was that big of a deal, other than the runs my poor little pups suffered. I have been smart enough to leave my purse up high or so I thought. Until one morning I woke up and found a fifty, a five and about five safety tickets chewed up to various degrees. I still don’t know how they were able to reach into my purse hanging on the dining room chair. They were smart enought to get into my purse but not smart enough to eat the cats food on the table. I guess it could have been worse.

Our beautiful and loving 7 month old golden retriever loves toilet tissue and paper towels.Eats it like it is a tasty treat! Takes the end of the roll and starts eating or gets tissue from the trash.( Its not like it has been used and smells of bacon or anything!!!) why would he like the taste of this????? so strange !

My female Golden, now 9.5 years old, likes to chew up paper but she doesn’t eat it. She just tears it up into little bits and spits it out. When she was a puppy, she would also grab the end of the toilet tissue and pull it from the roll into a pile on the floor. Thankfully she has stopped that.

My 9 month german sheperd mix dog loves to steal socks and food. He’s now tall enough to steal food from the counter when I’m not looking. He will also stand up and steal food from my three year old niece’s plate. If I see him stealing things I usually tell him no and if he doesn’t listen I’ll shoot him with a water bottle. That usually works. Usually…

I have a 2.5 months old Chihuahua. I´m forced to leaving her several hours a day alone in my room (because I also have a Persian cat) with her food, water and news paper in my bathroom (not to read, but to “go” on it…) Every day, when I get back from work, of course I find a mess (wich I think I deserve for leaving her alone =( ) but if i happen to leave any kind of paper arround, it always ends up arround my complete room, on her plate and water…everywhere!!! and also she jumps trying to reach for the toilet paper roll…but I think she hasn´t seen herself in a mirror to realize her size yet!!!
