Hey, I really enjoy the logical and patient approach to dog training that you do. I have a “pound puppy” that is about 5 mos. old and is a ‘Jack Terrier” mix of some sort. He is very smart and is learning quite well with some of the techniques that you have shared with me. The real limitation in our progress has been me and my expectations and bad technique that has been a part of my past. I am trying to be very patient and not working with him when I am impatient. He looks at me as if to say ‘Brother, what’s your problem?’ He has learned to sit, fetch, and is a real sweet dog. He is getting better at walking with a leash but still wants to walk me instead of me walking him. Since I have learned to watch him, we have had almost no accidents in the house after the 1st week. Hi,how can i start train my 3 months old Labrador Retriever??beacause he is so frisky all the time,how can get him calm??what is the good thing you will give me to get him calm to have start to train,when i say “sit” it is not sitting as he wanted or sting my hand..can you give some reasons?and some tips or help??..

Hi,I HAVE MALE GREAT DANE THREE YEARS OLD,UNFORTUNATELY NOT PROPERLY SOCIALISED IN EASRLY AGE.PROBLEM,HE FIGHTS AND BITES ANY OTHER DOG HE COMES TO SEE.PLEASE SUGGEST SOME WAY OUT.

Hi, Eric. My Lab/Border Collie mix is very hyper. She understands the commands, but just can’t “stay” in them! She will sit/stay, but will not down/stay. She hops right up almost as soon as she is all the way down.
I have received so much help in training her from you!! Thank you for sharing!!
