We have a family of foxes somewhere in the yard here at La Casa Letendre.
I’ve seen the family a few times and I am a little concerned because my little dog, Martini, is only 8lbs., about the same size as a rabbit.
Due to her size, I make sure that she is really good at two commands – stay and the recall.
I need to know exactly where she is so she does not get chomped.
I taught the two commands to her long ago but she learned them very fast and does them very good and I want to share with you the “Secret” to dog training.
I can do it with just one word.
Would you like to know the word?
Here it is:
Repetition.
Yes, I know that is not a sexy answer but if you want your dog to learn anything, all you need to do is remember this word and apply it.
Here’s the interesting part:
For your dog to really learn the command, you need to apply repetition to your dog training sessions, but they have to be fun AND in different locations.
For your dog to REALLY understand a command, you have to apply repetition in some different places.
You have to train your dog in the house, in the yard, at the park, in a parking lot, etc.
This is The Big Lesson of the Month update that goes on The Dog Training Inner Circle tomorrow.

All the best,
